Terms of service — Unfreez

1. Purpose

Unfreez is an editing layer for websites whose content lives in code: the service analyses a Git repository connected by a developer, lets its contents (texts, images, lists, SEO tags) be edited on a live preview, and publishes every change as a commit on the repository. The service is intended for professional use.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and use the service in a professional capacity. Two roles exist: the developer, who connects a repository through GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket and chooses what is editable, and the end client, invited by the developer, who signs in with GitHub, Google or an email sign-in link. Each user is responsible for keeping their credentials confidential and for what happens under their account.

3. Trial and subscription

Each site comes with a 14-day free trial, no card required, granted once per repository and per account. Beyond the trial, using a site requires a yearly subscription of €90 excl. VAT per site, paid by whichever site member chooses to, through Stripe. Applicable VAT is added at checkout. Prices may change; existing subscriptions keep their price until renewal and are notified of any change beforehand.

4. Freezing, cancellation, termination

When the trial expires or a payment fails, the site is “frozen”: the editing layer becomes read-only. The site itself, the repository and its full history remain intact and fully usable — Unfreez never withholds a client's code or content. The subscription can be cancelled at any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, which remains due. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, after notice unless the breach requires immediate action (fraud, abuse, legal obligation).

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Your content

The code and content of connected websites remain the exclusive property of their owners. You grant GEPETTO LABS a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce and process this content for the sole purpose of operating the service (preview, editing, publishing). You warrant that you hold the rights over the repositories you connect and the content you publish.

7. How the service operates

Every publish is an atomic commit, identified as coming from Unfreez, and reversible in one click from the history. The service refuses to write when a change is ambiguous rather than risk altering the code. Reasonable usage limits apply (repository size, number of sites per account, request rates) to keep the service healthy for everyone. The client's Git repository remains the authoritative backup of their content.

8. Third-party services

The service interoperates with third parties you choose to connect — GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Google, Stripe. Their own terms govern your relationship with them, and we are not responsible for their availability or decisions (e.g. a code host revoking access).

9. Intellectual property, feedback

The Unfreez name, interfaces and underlying technology are the property of GEPETTO LABS; these terms grant you a right to use the service, not a licence over it. Suggestions and feedback may be used freely to improve the service, without obligation.

10. Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and on a best-effort basis: no continuous availability, error-free operation or fitness for a particular purpose is guaranteed at this stage. We may modify features, and will not degrade the core service materially without notice.

11. Liability

Content published through Unfreez is the sole responsibility of the user who edits it and of the site owner. GEPETTO LABS cannot be held liable for published content, nor for indirect damages (loss of business, commercial harm) arising from the use of the service. In any event, GEPETTO LABS' liability is capped at the amounts actually paid for the site concerned over the last twelve months.

12. Indemnification

You will indemnify GEPETTO LABS against third-party claims arising from the content you publish, the repositories you connect, or your breach of these terms.

13. Personal data

The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy.

14. Changes

The service and these terms may evolve; users are informed of substantial changes by email or in the studio. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the terms in force.

15. Governing law, miscellaneous

These terms are governed by French law. Failing amicable resolution, any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Bordeaux, France. If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force; not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms are the entire agreement between you and GEPETTO LABS regarding the service.
