Three steps. No migration.

Connect the repo

A GitHub App with access to the repos you choose — nothing else. Unfreez scans the code and finds every text, image and list.

Pick what's editable

You curate: check what your client may touch, name it in their words, lock the rest. Nothing is editable without your say-so.

Publish content: update…

Invite your client

They sign in, edit on a live preview, hit Publish. Every publish is one atomic commit, signed by Unfreez.

For your client

They edit the page itself.

Click what to change

On a live copy of their own site, your client clicks a headline, a photo, a price. No dashboard, nothing to find.

Change it on the spot

A small panel opens right there. They rewrite the text, drop in a new photo, reorder a gallery — and see it happen.

Publish

One button, and it's online. Behind the scenes it lands in your repo as a clean commit — the code stays yours.

Refreshing the starter

Every night we feed the starter with T80 flour and water at 24°.

By dawn it has doubled and smells of hazelnut.

Publish

Unfreez finds your Markdown folders — Astro content collections, Hugo, Next — and opens them in a clean writing space. Your client browses, writes and publishes articles there.

  • A real writing space.

Title, date, cover image, then the body in Markdown with formatting and image uploads. Everything's there.

  • Create and delete.

A new article picks up the structure of an existing one: right folder, full frontmatter, clean slug.

  • It all stays in your repo.

Every article is a .md or .mdx file, committed on publish. Nothing to install, you keep control.

Built for developers

Nothing about your site changes. Except who can edit it.

Zero refactor

No setup in your code, no migration, no rewrite. Connect the repo — Unfreez finds the texts, images and lists in your files, exactly as they are today.

It never guesses

No AI rewriting your files. Every edit lands at the exact spot it belongs — and at the slightest doubt, Unfreez refuses to write rather than risk breaking something. Every publish can be undone in one tap.

Keep coding

Push whenever you want. Unfreez notices your changes, and a client edit can never overwrite your work.

Next.js, Astro, Vue, Svelte

App Router or Vite SPA, .astro, .vue or .svelte components, or a single HTML file — same experience everywhere. More stacks as we go.

Questions

The ones developers actually ask.

What can Unfreez do to my repo?

Read the repos you selected, and push content commits — that's the GitHub App's whole permission set. Every commit is signed by Unfreez, so the history stays honest.

What happens if my client stops paying?

The site refreezes: the editing layer goes read-only. The site itself, the repo and every past commit remain exactly as they were. No hostage-taking.

Does my client need a GitHub account?

No. They sign in, edit on a live preview, and never see git, branches or commits.

Do I need CI/CD?

No. A publish is a commit on your branch. If your host auto-deploys, changes go live in minutes; if you deploy by hand, they ship with your next deploy.

Can I undo what my client changed?

Every publish is in the history with a one-tap rollback. And if you changed the code since, Unfreez refuses to write rather than guess.

What if a text isn't detected?

Click it, hit “Make editable”. Unfreez locates the exact value in your source — if it's ambiguous, it tells you instead of guessing.
